The men's Aspira 360 smock is one serious piece of kit. Designed for use in the most extreme and harshest conditions such as the Artic and Antarctica, the Aspira is also ideal for winter activities above the snow line such as winter scrambling and winter sports.
Made using Paramo's now famous Nikwax Anology technology, the Aspira is 100% waterproof and very breathable too. The fabric is directional which means that the fabric actively moves moisture away from the body quickly, ensuring you stay dry which is essential in freezing conditions. Anology fabric also gets rid of up to 80% moisture produced from from your body heat as opposed to just 20% from a standard Gore-Tex jacket. That in itself is pretty remarkable.
This smock is really tough too. It has reinforced panels for 'high wear' areas such as the shoulders and under arms, so wearing a rucksack won't be a long term problem. As you would expect from such a technical smock, the hood is helmet compatible and has a wire peak for aided visibility, It is also fully adjustable for both volume on the top as well as the sides. The result is a hood that you can get nice and tight around your face to protect it from the elements.
Ventilation is also something you won't have to worry about. The Aspira is deigned to keep you dry whilst keeping the elements out. There are pit zips under each arm, and two long zips on the side of the body which can be opened from the top or bottom.
