Over half of the staff here at BCH Camping own this jacket, and for very good reason. The men's Valiance Jacket from Rab is the ultimate winter jacket. Why? Because not only is this amazing jacket unbelievably warm, but it is 100% waterproof too. Yes, you read that correctly, a 100% waterproof down jacket. If the weather happens to be freezing cold? No problem. If the weather then turns wet and cold? No problem. This is a down jacket that you can live in from October through to March and we love it.
The fabulous warmth comes from the 700 fill power recycled down filling. this down has been treated with Nikwax prior to stuffing to ensure if the down gets wet, say after washing then it still maintains its loft and therefore it's warmth and shape.
The 100% waterproofing is thanks to the Pertex Shield fully taped waterproof outer which has a hrydrostatic head of a whopping 10'000mm. This essentially means that whether you are stood on top of a munro or watching the kids play sport at the weekend, torrential rain won't stop you.
All zips are top of the line YKK zips. These can be found on the two hand warmer pockets on the side, the main front zip and the internal security pocket.
