Lightweight comfort is what the women's Firewall Light Jacket is all about. Weighing in at a very light 285g, this excellent women's Rab jacket packs up really small taking up less space in your rucksack.
The outer is constructed using the durable 3 layer Proflex fabric which is not only 100% waterproof with it's hydrostatic head of 20'000mm, but is also soft and supple which makes the Firewall quiet to wear. This softness doesn't mean that it's not strong though, as the Firewall is designed to resist abrasion in such areas likely to wear first such as on the shoulders under rucksack straps.
So what about the features? Well, firstly there is a mountain hood that is helmet compatible and is fully adjustable so you can get it nice and tight around your face, it has a nice stiffened peak on it too. The sleeves have lovely articulation so if you were to reach up they wouldn't slide down, they also aid freedom of movement too.
Both hand pockets and the main zip are all tough YKK zips with a chin guard on the main zip for added comfort.
All in all a superb, lightweight jacket that is soft and comfortable to wear and yet designed to take whatever the weather throws at it.
