The Vango Sherwood Air 400XL may be the smaller brother of the Sherwood 600XL, but it is no less impressive. As this is the package option, you'll be pleased to know that the groundsheet protector is included. This helps keep the under side of your tent clean and also helps protect it from damage from sharp stones etc.
So lets take a closer look at this superb inflatable, 4 person Vango tent. You enter through the large front awning which is actually big enough to be used as a living area. The front of this awning can be opened or closed fully, or tied back to a door width. With the front open it provides a great place to sit and watch the world go by.
From the awning you move into the main living area, this benefits from having a fully sewn in ground sheet and also has a side door that can be opened to let the air flow in. This door also has a mesh bug screen.
At the rear of the tent are the midnight, king sized bedrooms. These can be divided using the toggled divider to give you two, two berth bedrooms, or rolled up to have one large four berth bedroom. The bedrooms are also darkened hence the 'midnight' to enable you to sleep in for longer without the sun waking you up. Each king size bedroom has a space is a generous 70cm.
The fabric of this tent is Vango's Sentinel Excel, which has a thickness of 150denier and a hydrostatic head of 5000mm. This makes the Sherwood not only 100% waterproof, but also extremely strong too. To add to that strength, inside you have Vango's Tension Band System. These are straps that you can tighten to increase stability when the wind starts to blow. When not in use they roll away neatly into storage pockets.
Despite the size of the Sherwood 400XL the whole thing can go from back of the car to fully up and holiday ready in under 15 minutes. Simply plug in the pump provided to each of the air beams (five in total) and away you go.
