It’s Bank Holiday season! And this year we get an extra day thanks to the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. As the weather improves and the holiday mood takes over, thoughts turn to breaks away from home, and in the distance you can see your summer holiday. It’s so close you can almost touch it!
All this chatter about fun, leisure, short breaks and holidays is unfortunately punctuated with the voices of doom on the television, radio and across our social media channels who keep reminding us that the cost of living is spiralling out of control. It is. There is no way of escaping it.
Or is there…?
If you want to get the family away on short breaks, the most cost-effective way of doing it is by camping. If you don’t have any camping equipment at all, the initial outlay will be an investment, but you can enjoy the return on that investment again and again throughout the year, and for many years to come.
The cost of a pitch for a tent varies from campsite to campsite depending on time of year and location, but generally it is anything from around £15 to £35 a night. This makes weekends away and UK family holidays affordable. If the budget allows, you can also drive to the continent with your camping gear and have a fantastic holiday abroad.
So, what’s stopping you?
You can’t sleep in a tent, you say? Pah! We’ve got the perfect solution for you.
At BCH Camping
we stock the outstanding Zempire Monstamat Twin mattress
. This will change your opinion about sleeping in a tent forever!
The Zempire Monstamat Twin Mattress
Zempire state that the Monstamat twin mattress
is their most comfortable sleeping mat to date. Who are we to argue?
This double-width camping mattress is covered in a luxurious fabric that provides restful comfort. It also minimises the potential for being disturbed by the movements of your partner, which has to be a big tick! The soft surface material has been chosen to also reduce noise when the user moves.
If you have experienced sleeping next to someone on a camping mattress, feeling like you’re flying through the air every time they move, this is entirely different with the Zempire Monstamat, thanks to the foam inside being bonded to the exterior fabric. Also gone are the days of feeling like you’re sleeping on the floor. The Zempire Monstamat mattress moulds to the contours of your body in a similar way to memory foam, to provide a truly comfortable and restful sleep.
Going back to the investment we were talking about earlier, the heavy duty 75D TPU (75 denier thermoplastic polyurethane) base is highly durable and will serve you well for many short breaks and holidays to come. It can be stored and protected in the drawstring stuff sack supplied.
Here are some more features of the Zempire Monstamat twin mattress…
Features of the Zempire Monstamat twin mattress
- Self-inflating: The mat is inflated by simply opening the valve to the inflate position. The 360° double-way valve allows for more air to be added for extra firmness, and prevents air from being sucked back in when deflating. There are three settings for easy inflation and deflation.
- 3D construction: This allows the foam to fully expand while the expanding sidewalls reduce surface pressure to create comfortable cushioning.
- Open-cell foam: The open-cell foam is highly compressible. It also springs back into shape and draws in air while expanding.
- R-value: The Zempire Monstamat twin mattress has an R-value (insulation) of 10.5.
- Cross-cored foam: Reduces the pack size, weight and inflation time.
- Warranty: Two years.
- Includes: Emergency repair kit
